Wearing Green

I absolutely love St. Patrick's Day! I know that a lot of people only think about this wonderful holiday being a day to drink; however, this is definately the best holiday to dress up! I know that if people actually remember the holiday, they will wear the occasional green shirt, but I do the entire schpeal...5 green shirts layered, 2 green pants, green in my hair, green shoes, green finger and toenails, and green make-up! People always say that I over do the green, but I'm just making up for the lack of everyone else. I do, infact, have Irish ancestors which you can obviously tell by the look of my red hair and white white skin ;) But, I am definately proud of where I came from, and really enjoy the excuse to dress like a leprechaun. So, make sure to drink your green milk, and eat your Lucky Charms. Maybe this will be your lucky day!

*Don't worry! I'll be sure to post the pictures soon :)*

Wanna Ride Bikes?

Hello my fellow friends family and what not. This is Joel, work was going very very slow today, and I thought that I would write a blog, But I had no idea what to write about. I had an audition up at the U for the school of Music, and I'm hoping that I find out tonight how I did. I also went bike shopping over the weekend with Jess. Though I didn't buy one, I am very excited to say that I found a bike that caught my eye, and possibly will become property of the Alba family soon enough. What I'm looking for is a bit of a road/mtn bike. I found a nice Specialized, called a Cross Trail, it looks nice, and I think I'm going to go for it, This is the bike.

While I was comparing bikes, and what not, I decided that I wanted to find out what happened to a certain bike line called Fat Chance Bikes, I was curious because my dad got a Wicked Fat Chance a long time ago, and I heard a lot of people thought those where amazing bikes. So I did a little research and found out that Chris Chance, the owner and creator of Fat City Cycles, sold the company to who knows who, and moved out of Massachusetts to New York. When this happened a whole bunch of people who worked for Mr. Chance didn't get hired, or didn't go with the company, and decided to build there own company. They created Independent Fabrication Bikes. I have to tell you, these guys are insane, I started looking through the website, and I decided that when I became rich and famous, I would buy one. I think there cheapest one is like $2k so it'll be a while before I buy one, but all I can say is that if I buy one it will be the following bike.

Its called the Steel Deluxe it looks like a sick bike. The cool thing about the company, is that they still hand make all of there bikes, they do all the custom work and what not, and they customize the paint for you too! I would totally do a Neon Brown color, And have it say Brown Pride in Ghetto Letters on the frame. If your feeling up to buying one of your own, they have a large selection of bikes that you can choose from, the web page is http://www.ifbikes.com/ take a look at there stuff its absolutely awesome! And if your gutsy, buy one, (donations are open to the poor brown kid fund, currently 0 contributions)
